“On Wednesday, June 22, 2011, two of your men installed a fence. They arrived around 10:30 am and left around 6:30 pm. The installation was very difficult due to the slope of the ground, lots of loose dirt, one gate needing to be placed in front of the previous gate, height of board discrepancy due to concrete floor with a step and no handle for one gate.
I want you to know, they worked very hard, and were creative, and adapted to the conditions extremely well. The electricity outlet shorted out and they used the neighbor’s outlet in order to use their saw. There was no “handle” for one gate, so they made a beautiful one out of wood. I was very impressed with their ability to improvise under unusual conditions. Please thank them again for their fine work. I’m sorry I do not know their names. “We had a severe windstorm and 71 feet of fallen down fence in my backyard was replaced with a 6 foot redwood ‘friendly neighbor’ fence with an 8 inch kickboard at the bottom. They put in metal posts into deep concrete, so that fence won’t be falling soon! The old fence was removed as well. Reuben came out for an estimate on time. We had to reschedule because of rain, but we got a time within a week of our original date. They got here about 8:45 in the morning and were completely finished by 1:30 in the afternoon! Not bad and all done in 4 hours and 45 minutes! An excellent job with the fence as straight as an arrow. They took away the old fence and cleaned up after themselves. The workmen also let me know what kind of stain to use on it. We are very pleased with the professional job.” -Terry V.

“I recently had fencing installed around my home in Rocklin and I wanted to give you some positive feedback on Reuben. I know you are brothers, and typically when family run business, not much time is spent in recognizing the attributes that one brings to the business. I have received such extraordinary customer service from Reuben though, that I think it is worthy of my time to express to you what a great asset he is to your company. First, I must say that I selected your company because of him. After getting four bids, he was the only one that came fully prepared and gave me a very detailed and defined contract proposal before he left. He spent the time educating me about fencing (and staining) before, during and after the contract was signed and the fence installed. He came out twice to ascertain accuracy and for a rewrite of proposal when I added other neighbors to the consideration. I experienced difficulty with my neighbors up until the very last minute it when the installers were to arrive, and Reuben was instrumental in counseling and guiding me through it – all the while he remained calm, patient, and most professional. He was always very responsive, answering his phone at all times (even when I called him on a Sunday afternoon and did not expect him to answer – I was calling to just leave a voice message for Monday morning)… this is something that is most rare in business today! He sincerely appreciated the positive feedback I gave him on the workers, he followed up with a manufacturer regarding an inquiry I had and he ascertained closure on a few minor issues that I had with installation. I cannot express well enough how much I appreciate all of his efforts, and how happy I am that I selected your company for my new fencing. I have been in management for 25 years for several different companies in different industries and to senior level, and I can easily sum up Reuben’s performance by saying if I had my own business, I would certainly like to have him at the forefront of it. I think that Borg Fence & Deck are the best-kept secret in the fencing business. They replaced my eye sore fence on a very busy street last week. Not only did they do a fast job but an excellent job.
